“A nice small private museum in the old town, 45 min to 1 hour, good for a quick stop. Probably more fun with others than solo as there are photo ops, dressing up, music etc. Very interactive. Some of the text felt simplistic and described things that were very normal everywhere in the 1950s-1990s as being evils of communism. They could maybe do with a more expert or broadly expert historian on staff. Communist coffee was a very fun novelty and quite tasty, I can't tell the difference between it and Nescafe but I am not a conniseur at all! Toilet facilities clean, nice small bar area, no gift shop.”

I really liked that he started with the philosophy of Hegel, Marx and Engels, and then talked about the feudal system in eastern Europe and the Bolshevik revoltion. This created the context for understanding better why communism emerged and then developed as it did in Romania. A great lesson of history combined with a nice walk, I definitely recommend it!”

I learnt so much about the history and the background of Bucharest and not at least about what happened during the last year of communism. We walked down the old main street Calea Victoriei packed with historic buildings and events from the revolution. His knowledge and presentation were outstanding. The tour could not follow the original plans, as I was there during the big demonstrations in February. The People's Palace was therefore closed for visitors.
